The Inventory, as I refer to it, is the inspiration for the Polis Inventory app.
Titled as "An Inventory of Archaic and Classical Poleis", by M.H Hansen and T. Nielsen, it is a product of the Copenhagen Polis Center and was first published in 2005.
It identifies, catalogs and describes 1035 ancient Greek poleis from the archaic and classical periods of c. 650-325 BC. It is a pioneering body of work, 10 years in the making, and produced by a large, cross disciplinarian team of scholars.
